2025 League Captain of the Year

The USTA League National Office is excited to introduce a new initiative to recognize League Captain’s across the nation. The National Captain of the Year Award embodies outstanding sportsmanship, respect and passion for the USTA League Program. A positive figure in their tennis community and beyond, the League Captain of the Year’s story and love for the game will be shared on a national scale to inspire others to be a USTA League Captain.

 

Each USTA Sectional Association may nominate one captain to represent their USTA Section to be considered for the award. Nominations will be accepted no later than December 31st, 2025. At the beginning of 2026, the National League Committee will review the nominations and will select one Captain to be called the National League Captain of the Year. Four other captains will be selected as Notable Nominees and their stories will also be shared on a National scale.

 

The captain who wins the award will receive swag items, and the option to receive membership costs waived to a certain dollar amount, attendance with a guest to the USTA Annual Meeting in 2026 or two tickets to the 2026 US Open!
